Working with children has always come naturally to Dr. Tushna Avasthi. Inspired by her mother’s work as a teacher, she became involved in children’s programs and community fundraisers from a young age. She later taught swimming to young children, including children with disabilities and special needs. These experiences taught her that every child communicates and responds differently—an understanding that continues to shape her individualized approach to care.

Dr. Tushna’s interest in chiropractic began after she experienced persistent headaches following a concussion. Her own experience as a patient showed her how important it is to feel heard, understand your care, and be treated as an individual.

Her clinical interests include prenatal and pediatric care, headaches and migraines, TMJ concerns, neck and back pain, and helping patients remain active. She is also trained in acupuncture.

Dr. Tushna is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and plans to pursue advanced education in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic. At Advanced Vitality, she is being mentored by Dr. Tara Sutton as she develops her skills in family-centred practice.

Having grown up in an Indian family in the GTA, Dr. Tushna values creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and understood. She speaks Hindi and Punjabi and enjoys connecting with families in ways that feel familiar to them.

Dr. Tushna looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients—from supporting women through pregnancy to caring for their children as they grow.

I’m Dr. Jassy Hundal, a chiropractor with a background in biomedical science, rehabilitation, and fitness, with a particular interest in caring for children, moms, and families. As a Brampton native, I’m especially excited to be building my practice in the community I grew up in and to have the opportunity to care for local families through different stages of their lives.

Working with children has been an important part of my life long before becoming a chiropractor. I’ve led children’s camps and fitness classes, coached youth soccer, and have always enjoyed creating environments where kids feel comfortable, confident, and supported as they move, play, learn, and grow. During my chiropractic education, that experience naturally developed into a desire to focus my career on pediatric and family chiropractic care.

I have completed additional continuing education through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), building on my clinical training and developing a stronger foundation in caring for children and families.

One of the things that drew me to Advanced Vitality is the unique neurofunctional approach to chiropractic care. Neurological and functional assessments, including scanning technology, allow us to look beyond symptoms and develop a more complete understanding of how each individual is functioning. I’m excited to continue building on this foundation at Advanced Vitality, with a particular focus on prenatal, pediatric, and family care.

My broader clinical training has given me experience with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological presentations and a strong understanding of movement, function, and the human body. My background as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor has further shaped the way I think about movement and helping people feel capable and confident in their bodies. I bring that experience into practice while keeping my focus on individualized, family-centred chiropractic care.

Joining Advanced Vitality is an opportunity to intentionally develop the area of practice in which I see my future. I’m looking forward to working alongside and being mentored by Dr. Tara Sutton, building on her extensive experience in prenatal, pediatric, and neurofunctional chiropractic care. My goal is to continue developing my knowledge, clinical skills, and experience so that I can grow into a leader in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care.

Above all, I believe great care begins with listening. I want every patient — and every parent who trusts me with their child — to feel heard, understood, supported, and confident in the care they receive.

It feels especially meaningful to begin this next chapter at home in Brampton. I’m excited to become part of the Advanced Vitality community, build lasting relationships with the families we serve, and contribute to the health and well-being of the community that helped shape me.
